Lawnfield Inn is once again rated a top Best Western property in Ohio. Way to go Lawnfield staff!

We have our new "Trailblazer" directional sign on Rt-615, just south of Mentor Avenue. Thanks to all our guests that were so helpful in writing and calling local authorities to get this sign approved. Now the City of Mentor and other business owners can enjoy the additional patronage of our out of town guests dining at their restaurants, shopping at their stores, and visiting their attractions. Yes, sometimes letters, comments, suggestions and all our efforts do make a difference – we thank you.

Coming soon – Wireless Internet in our lobby and parlor. Hotel guests will be provided complimentary access later this summer.

Pool Opening May 25th (weather permitting) – Get out your sunscreen! Plan your poolside cocktail or barbeque party now.

Front Desk:
We would like to welcome Jessica Swann, a new addition to our Front desk staff at Lawnfield Inn and Suites. Jessica started with us on March 15th and has already become a great asset to our team through her cheerfulness, enthusiasm and professionalism. She has a military background and is still active on weekends with Army drill exercises.

Cathy Frantz - Back from maternity leave after giving birth to her daughter Tatum! Cathy's husband & sons are also happy and excited on welcoming a new member to their family. Welcome back Cathy!

Housekeepers:

Welcome new housekeepers, Patti Balogh & Laura Edixo: Welcome new housekeepers, Patti Balogh & Laura Edixon. Patti has been in housekeeping for 27 years, previously working in Columbus, Indiana and other Cleveland areas. She is married and has 2 wonderful grandchildren. Laura with 4 years in hotel housekeeping is also married with children. Both ladies are a wonderful addition to our staff.

All the housekeepers became "Best Western Certified" last month. Great Job!

Employee of the Quarter: Elbert Oyster, Night Audit. Our first choice for this new award was an "easy one" states Nancy Zaroogian, hotel manager. "Elbert started with us just a few months after Lawnfield opened in 2001. He continues to be dependable, reliable and very professional with hotel guests and staff alike. His performance in guest services is outstanding, he certainly deserves special recognition" - Congratulations Elbert!

  • Mentor Headlands State Park – Did you know that we have the largest (mile long) natural sand beach in the state? Well we do and it is only a short 7.5 miles from Lawnfield.
